We were going on vacation, so I had to get a book.
I grabbed the kids and off we went to the library to take a look.
They smiled as we went in and to the kids section they ran to see what they could find,
While I had visions of laying on the beach and reading in my mind.
We all found something that we liked,
And to the checkout counter we hiked.
On the way we saw Mrs Shelly and some of the girl’s friends.
We hope the summer reading program never ends!
They started reading in the car and a little while later they were almost done,
They pleaded and pleaded so next week we’ll go back for more fun!!!

Get out of the heat
and prop up your feet.
Grab a cold drink,
while you think.
What kind of book
will get you hooked.
How about a mystery
or something about history.
Whatever you want
no need to hunt.
The library has it all

THE LIBRARY WAS THERE
When I was a baby
The library had picture books
That made me giggle with glee.
They made me want to look!
When I was a toddler
These picture books had words.
The books were a little harder,
But I was never bored!
When school started,
Some projects needed researching.
The library was there
When I need some referencing!
Now I’m grown,
There’s the library!
My children need it
as much as they need me!
The library, I’m sure,
Will always be there,
Through thick and thin
As I grow more gray hair!

Wedding Anniversary Poem
Today is our anniversary.
I think I’ll go to the library,
to get a book on how to make
a cake,
and decorate.
Also maybe a movie,
to watch with my lovey.
Plus some music we can dance to.
So much we can do.
The library has it all.
We’re going to have a ball.

Thank you for the Memories…..
Several years ago with two toddlers and a baby in tow,
I packed up the kids and said I’m ready to go,
with the baby in the stroller and my two toddlers holding my hand,
we went into the library and off the toddlers ran

they ran like they were running a marathon race,
they explored and giggled all over the place,
it was really a great place for my family to go,
with books to read or to sit for the shows.

As time went by my memories are the same
I see them still smile like its some little game
they run to see what they can possibly find
then rush to show me everything all at one time

As I look at their beautiful faces over these years
I get kind of emotional with happiness and tears,
I remember the fun times we shared at the library and the shows,
but I will always see them in my heart as my two toddlers and baby in tow

So thank you to the library for the family time we had
you have made this Mom really happy and glad
for I have seen not just only the books that are there
but the love of my family and the time we have shared.
