To every mom and dad,
It’s not a fad.
Check out the paper called, “Library Happenings.”
You can even read it while your kids are napping.
Lots of fun stuff to do
For the whole family – including you.
No one will say, Boo
Because there is so much to do
You will be laughing,
and your feet tapping
to all the great programs that are happening.

Monkeys in the House
You don’t have to act like a mouse.
Get up and groove
Show us your moves.
An entertaining puppet show,
Where you will say Whoa.
Shows with dancing and singing,
and with lots of meaning.
It is like a Jamboree
at your local library.
All at a club,
Dubbed:
Summer Reading Program.

We rush to the library just in time,
the event is starting and it’s just about nine,
we sit very quickly to enjoy the show,
with every second our anticipation grows.
The show is starting and about to begin,
the audience is hushed with kids faces a grin,
smiles on their faces and giggles galore,
the kids clap and scream, we want more!
The event is now over and it’s time to go,
the kids don’t want to leave the really great show,
they fuss and complain, grumble and growl,
they don’t want to leave no way no how.
We tell them lets go and have a look,
at the library event schedule that we took,
they see there is lots more fun on it’s way,
so we can come back another day!
